With nearly 2 decades of a professional riding career, Ruben Alcantara has been named world champion twice in the early 2000’s and was elected 2002 rider of the year by Ride BMX Magazine in the UK. He was also the winner of the 2007 NORA award. The influential legend from Malaga, Spain has changed BMX and the way everybody looks at riding. He is hands down one of the most humble and caring people you will ever meet. In 2015, his home town opened a huge skatepark with a plaza, pumptrack, dirt trails, mini ramp, halp pipe and bowl. The park was named “Malaga Spain, Ruben Alcantara” – Named after Ruben because of his huge influence on BMX and help in designing the park.
