Most content providing web sites now publish RSS feeds. RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) is an XML-based format web sites use for content distribution. Users simply set up an RSS “aggregator” or “feed reader” to follow as many RSS feeds and by subscribing to the feeds of their choice. Every time the RSS feed reader is opened it looks at all of the feeds a user has subscribed to check for updates. Users have a wide variety of RSS feed reader choices ranging from web based to desktop programs (we’ve highlighted a few of our favorites below).

As an example, a user could visit their iGoogle (a popular web-based feed reader) to look at RSS feed updates from all of their favorite sites. These sites can range from tech blogs, to field hockey, to European fashion, to ice fishing... Hey it’s up to you, but the cool part is this information is all collected in one easy to look over place saving you the work of visiting many sites looking for updates.

Here at Fox, we’ve created RSS feeds for all of our sports and Fox Girls. Check the links below to subscribe to your areas of interest.
