First Annual Fox Surf n Turf Goes Down in History
Posted on: November 13th, 2009
The 1st Annual Fox Surf 'N Turf was an amazing experience, all set under the beauty of the island of O’ahu. The MX mini bike challenge was held despite the rainy Hawaiian skies and 6 inches of wonderful north shore red dirt. But that is what dirt bikes are all about. The dealers and shops were ready to go, and the air horn blasted and off went the teams to ride in several Moto Heats to see who was best. Surf shops and MX shops rode together and sloshed in the mud together – there was even a pit stop at Sunset Beach to freshen up after being caked in red dirt all day!

Dinner that evening was help at the Hilton Kuhio and the staff at the hotel really outdid themselves. The pupus were amazing and the wild pig buffet was a hit. In the mix were Fox Surf Team riders Eric Geiselman, Jesse Merle Jones and Nathan Carroll with smiles on their faces and an itch to hit the waves at Sandy Beach in the morning.

The next day at Sandy Beach, the waves were firing off and it was stated that the waves during the Fox surf contest were some of the best waves Sandy Beach has had this year! We did experience our share of a quick tropical storm - but the contest went on and soon the skies cleared, the rain subsided, and we were all left with a most beautiful day at the beach framed by a classic Hawaiian rainbow.

Bringing this select group of MX and sportswear Fox dealers was an awesome experience – Fox looks forwards to many more years of this shop challenge. Keep a look out for more details and more pictures from the event to come in the next few days. Mahalo to all that made this event a great success.
