Reed Hansen is coming off the biggest year of his wakeskating career. He won the WWA Wakeboard National Championships and the WWA Wakeboard World Championships. He won the Byerly Toe Jam Tour overall season title and was named Best Wakeskater at WAKEBOARDING magazine’s Wake Awards and in their annual Readers Poll. He also landed a wake-to-wake heelside frontside 540 and a wake-to-wake backside 540, both of which were nominated for Oakley Wakeskate Move of the Year at the Wake Awards.

Now that winter is almost over things are starting to get busy again which is the way I like it. On Valentines Day I got to go to the Daytona 500 Nascar Event as a guest of Red Bull. Glad to say I got to take my dad to this event with me and we both had a blast. I love going to this and absolutely love the VIP hook up Red Bull has each year at this event....feel spoiled, but definitely grateful! We got to sit in the pits and ate the best catered food and had the best view of the race. Even got to see Larry the Cable Guy! It was the perfect day and the perfect way to spend some time with my dad!

Parks Doc. Wins best Biography at X dance film

The Parks Bonifay Documentary won Best Biography at the 2010 X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The documentary tracks Parks’ progress from setting the Guinness World Record as the world’s youngest water skier to his dominance of wakeboarding. Bonifay was on hand at the six-day event and participated in post-screening question and answer sessions

Over a year ago I mentioned to Kevin Michael, editor of WBM, that I wanted to try to get a cool cover shot. "Get something unique and creative and we'll see if it's something that can work." I tried shooting this land gap at my school, The Boarding School, but we struggled to get something that we thought was cover worthy. I had a few different ideas of something similar, which may come about in the future, but just a couple months ago I was out on a carve set with my buddy Aaron. I just wanted to get wet for a quick lap around my lake and not get into the air much. I've done the blind toe side cut since my days in the Skurfer, but I decided to see just how hard I could cut and how close I could get my nose to the water.

These last two months have been crazy busy, and lots of riding too! Trying to get as much riding in before it gets to cold. Also been shooting and filming quite a bit of video and photo stuff and its been fun. Recently learned a tantrum to blind and actually got it on video and will hopefully be up on Fox web site soon...Ditter filmed it and think it will be good since we got a few different ones on video from different angles.
I have been riding the system 2 at the Projects quite a bit which is always fun! I'm really enjoying the off season it has been fun to go out and try new stuff instead of the usual working on a run for the next contest.
I had a great Thanksgiving with family and Halloween was awesome and it is one of my favorite holidays. I love getting dressed up in costume. ...
