Well 2009 season of competing for me has finally come to an end...crazy how fast this whole season has gone by. Usually I would be happy for it all to end and ready for a break at this time...but honestly I am ready for more! But a break will be nice and good to be able to focus on different things and still progress my riding.
Had a birthday...23, I don't feel 23 still feel 20! But just relaxed and went riding and actually stomped a new trick on my birthday-handle pass KGB, so stoked that was enough to make my birthday complete. Along with Fox Wake team mates Reed brought home a new trophy too - Best Wakeskater.
The Best Wakeskater is someone who is most dominant considering all aspects including lip tricks, wake moves, rails, contests, video sections and special events, with proficiency in PWC, boat, winch and cable riding.

Dallas Friday Wins Best Womens Rider

This Fox Wake team ripper kills it in all aspects including contests, exposure, photos, video sections and progressive riding. Friday previousy won in ’06.
Dallas Friday capped her best season since 2006 with the Best Womens Rider award at Wakeboarding magazine’s sixth-annual Wake Awards in Orlando. Along with the 2009 Queen of Wake title, the award marks Friday’s return to the top of women’s wakeboarding.

August 2009 definitely has been exciting, busy, crazy, and memorable for me...so much went on! Reno stop was the end of the Pro Tour and ended that with a victory win, and also kept me in the lead for the Queen of Wake series with only one more event left to wrap up the Queen of Wake, which was the World Championships where the winner is crowned. But before I get into worlds, first, surf expo weekend was a bit different due to the economy so booth sizes and amount of booths was less than prior years, but still lots going on...Wake awards. Wake Awards is pretty cool, fun to see highlights of the year 2009 and award the riders that have earned and stunned over the year...
