Born and raised in the Northern Rivers of NSW, motocross was in my blood. My earliest memories as a child are riding around our family farm, going full gas on my KTM50 chasing my dad and my older brother Leeon. By the time I was 10 years old, I had upgraded to a YZ80 and was eager to hit the race track. From my very first race, all I wanted to do was win. I got my first taste and was hungry for more. For years I would wake up at all hours of the morning to do all my chores so I could get a ride in before school then race home to ride again until it was dark and pack for the weekend racing. I finished school at the end of year 10 and went working straight away as a machine operator to make money to pay for my racing and get better equipment to be more competitive. I made the most of every hour in the day, if I wasn't working I was training. I entered the U19s championship of the MX Nationals and my confidence was growing with some great pre-season results. I realised this was my best chance to make becoming a professional racer a reality. I was committed to working hard and doing whatever it took to turn my childhood passion into a career but knew I couldn't do it alone. So I decided to share my dream with my family and my boss Pete who agreed to give me 5 months off so I could focus full time on racing. I had saved all of my money from my job and my family were there as back up. If it worked out like we all hoped it would, I would pick up a ride with a team and pursue my new career as a Professional Racer, and if it didn't I would be back on the machines working for Pete. With this amazing opportunity I put it all on the line for the championship. I trained harder than I had trained before. I sought guidance, focused on my race craft, nutrition, health and fitness. I continued to build and got stronger and faster. With many solid performances including various race wins, I finished 4th in the U19s and gratefully secured a hard-earned Pro Lites ride with Woodstock Honda for 2008. I am now the reigning Australian Motocross Champion, having spent the past 10 years competing at the top level of the sport around the world between Australian and New Zealand national championships, United States AMA and European MXGP. For more information and full details visit
